Episode 34 [The Will of God]
The Will of God
(The video is in Russian.)
Bible verses from the sermon
[1 Jhn.5:13-15] These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
We have the petitions (G2192; G155; G154) – we have the things requested that we asked for
[Jhn.16:23] …Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
[Jhn.14:13-14] And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
[Luk.11:11-13] If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
[Rom.8:32] He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
[Eph.1:3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
[2 Pet.1:3] as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
[Act.3:6-7] Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
[1 Jhn.5:10-12] He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
[1 Jhn.5:16] If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that.
Ask (aiteō, G154) – to ask, to seek
[Act.5:3] But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?”
[Act.8:13] Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done.
[1 Jhn.5:18] We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.
[1 Tim.2:3-4] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
[2 Pet.3:9] The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
