Privacy Policy
Who we are
Church without Walls “New Jerusalem”. Our website address is: newjerusalem.in.ua.
Acceptance of terms
Please read this privacy policy carefully, because it explains how we collect, use, share and process your personal information. By using the site you agree to this privacy policy and its terms, and to your data being shared and processed as described here. Your use of this site is also governed by our Terms of Use (in Russian). We welcome any questions or comments you may have about this privacy policy and our privacy practices; you can contact us at ch****@*************in.ua.
What personal data we collect and why
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comment form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address is stored. Your first comment is checked for spam; after that, with your email address on record, you can comment without further checks.
Contact forms
When you register, we ask for your location (city and country) so that brothers and sisters in Christ from your region can meet and have fellowship with you. If you do not want your location to be visible to others, close access when you register or in your profile settings.
We ask for your name and email address when you subscribe to our newsletter, so that we can send you new articles and epistles of love. You can unsubscribe by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the end of each email.
When you register a home fellowship, we ask for your exact address and phone number, so that brothers and sisters in Christ in your area can contact you personally and meet for home fellowship.
Media
If you are a registered user and upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
If you are not registered on the site and press the “Like” button for an article or a comment, we use cookies to remember that you liked it. These cookies last for 3 months, so that you can undo your like, and so that the like counter does not keep growing if you press the button again by accident.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. YouTube videos). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, which shows us how many people visit our site. Google may use your IP address to determine your location, and the website from which you came to the New Jerusalem site. This data is used only to analyse visits to the site.
Who we share your data with
Other registered users can see your city and country in the “God’s Treasures” section. You can close access for other registered users in your profile settings.
We do not distribute or share the data you entered when registering with any third parties!
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Additional information
How we protect your data
Your registration data is stored on the server in a database that only the site administrators can access. We use additional protection so that attackers cannot break into an administrator account: besides a strong password, the administrator’s IP address is checked, and only administrators with an allowed IP address can enter the administration panel.
What data breach procedures we have in place
We have an additional security program installed that watches over the safety of our site. It provides many extra protections against hacking, such as a firewall, additional protection of files and databases, limiting login attempts, alerting the administrator about suspicious activity, a blacklist of IP addresses used in attacks, protection against brute-force attacks and spam, and a scanner that checks the integrity of the file system.
