The Bible has a so-called central verse. Psalm 118 (117 in the Synodal translation) lies between the shortest and the longest psalms, and it is the centre of the Bible, because there are exactly 594 chapters before it and as many after it. If you add 594 and 594, you get 1,188. And Psalm 118:8 (verse 8 of Psalm 117 in the Synodal numbering) is the central verse of the Bible.
This is what it says: “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man” (Ps.118:8)
